tesun usb dualshock controller

I have this unit hooked up and in the control panel when I go to game
controllers,
it works fine and I can calibrate it... How ever I can't get the controller
to control any games and and when I go into my games and try to differ the
control setting there is absolutly no options to change to a controller from
the key board.... Any Ideas???

Also when I am in a game to change the controler buttons, when I hit the usb
controler ther is no responce...I have the lattest windows directx
installed...
Is direct 7 the same as directx??? Thanks
