Can't install software

Everytime I attempt to install software an error message stating a path was
not specified. What is happening: my computer refuses to allow me to create
any folder entitled 'sys' which has the main files which allows me to excute
my program. When I attempted to install the software via Safe Mode it
allowed the entire process to complete, however, when I returned to the
normal mode, it still prompted me with an error message informing me that the
'sys' folder wasn't located.

SYS is a Reserved word and cannot be used for creating files or folders.
It stands for System.
