help with keyboard shortcuts

i appear to be having a problem with my keyboarD. everytime i type certain
keys different programs are brought up on the screen eg the letter r brings
up the run program

The keyboard short to bring up Run is the Windows key + R.

Do you have a sticking Windows key? Try borrowing another
keyboard to test.
