Does the channel change on the STB when you use the MCE remote?

If not, then it is either the placement of the IR blaster on the STB or MCE
is not set up for the correct STB type.

Have you tried plugging in to the other IR bug socket on the IR receiver. If it has never worked in
any form as in never transmitted a single digit to the STB I would suspect a dodgy IR receiver or
more likely the IR bug & wire.

I can see the IR emitter flash. HP has sent me a replacement emitter and
remote sensor box and I have changed it out but still no good and HP doesn't
have a clue.
