Post subject: creating an association

| hi I am triing to open a file that when i click on it will open up in psp i
get the message this file does not have a program association with it for
performingthis action. create an association in the folder option control
panel i have tried to do this but am unable to understand. any help would be
appreciated

Since you didn't tell us what you tried and what you don't understand,
this may be a repeat of your actions.
Find the file you want to open. Right-click on the file icon. You will
get a context menu and one of the choices will be "Open with". A
pop-out menu will appear with various programs listed and at the bottom
"Choose Program". Left-click on "Choose Program". Now you'll get the
Open With box that will allow you to choose the program you want to
associate with this type of file. Choose Paintshop Pro and check the
box at the bottom that says "Always use the selected program to open
this type of file". Click "OK" and your file is associated with
Paintshop Pro.
This only works if:
1. You have Paintshop Pro installed on your computer.
2. Paintshop Pro can open this type of file.
