SAME problem. I have posted on like 20 forums and no one can tell me
whats wrong. MSN has no answers and my problem is the same as everyone
else. Im using 7.5.0324 and i tried a few comps, different versions,
and nothing. COME ON MICROSOFT SAY SOMETHING ABOUT THIS INSTEAD OF
KEEPING US IN THE DARK FOR 2 DAYS!

I'm having the same error here as well, but using WIndows Messenger 5.1. I
tried Jonathan's earlier post in newsgroups, and deleted the following:

HKEY_Current_User/Software/Microsoft/MessengerService/GroupCache
but still the problem persists.

All I want is my precious contacts! Can Microsoft get it to me?

So, has anyone gotten their contacts back? I HAVEN'T and it's really starting
to annoy me. I'm wondering where the support from MSFT is on this... I had
also sent an email through the 'customer experience improvement' program...
Did I hear anything??? NO!

I have been having the same exact problem. The contact list just disappeared
somewhere around october 6. I've contacted support and I got the same advice
about deleting that cache, but to no avail.

It seems the problem is with Microsoft/MSN, why won't anybody from there
reply to this? Jonathan?

I too got mine back. It's just strange, however I took a backup of my contact
list and no need to worry even it lost it again now. Hey Ian make sure take a
backup as well...cos we cant predict when it will go off again.
