Hi

I hope you will forgive me if I`m on the wrong group for this.

I have just read some articles on the web by Marc Liron about codecs and the
dangers of installing bundles which I must admit I have done. I have done a
scan with "Sherlock" and have located what I think are all the codecs on my
system.

The question I have is:-

Is it safe to delete these codecs (in C:Windows/System32) and to start again
letting Mediaplayer 11 (which I have just downloaded) find what it needs?

Would be grateful for any guidance.

TIA

Rafair

Can anyone tell me what "codec" stands for and what it/they do?
