You don't need "client for MS networks" but if you deselect it, some
passwords may not be remembered. Re-checking "client for MS networks"
will get them working again, and then you can deselect "client for MS
networks" again. At least that worked with W98 machines.. You can
deselect "File and Printer sharing" too.
