Post subject: How to change the default action for drives?
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>customize (more info?)

For some strange reason the default action (i.e. when I double-click on)
for a drive is to copy that disk (I guess some CD burner program -
WinOnCD?) has registered this as default action.

I find this quite annoying - I rather would prefer to "open" or "browse"
(i.e. same as "explore" - but without the tree view at the left) the CD
or DVD by default. Where/how can I change this setting? CD/DVD-drives
don't seem to be listed under (Explorer) => Tools => Folder Options =>
File Types.
