When running a video or audio in a stand alone media player, it works fine.
But I have not audio from media on web pages. Music on myspace, videos from
Google, or YouTube, nothing. MOVs and MP4s from Apple's web page play with
audio.

I upgraded to IE7, and reinstalled the Microsoft Codec pack and reinstalled
Media Player. Still, nothing

I''m a novice with an advance way of thinking.

Open WMP,tools, options, make sure the box is checked "connect to the internet"
you may edit others also...In IE7,open windows firewall, exceptions, add
program,
see if WMP is thier to add...If still no,open internet options, advanced, set
to
default.
