Post subject: Windows XP Networking issue

I have searched the forum and google and not found anything to help with this problem. If I have overlooked something just let me know. Anyways...here is the problem.

I have a small network. Computer #1 is Windows XP. The firewall is disabled. It can access anyother computer on the network, and ping anything on the network.
The other computers are Windows 2000. No firewall software installed.
They can all access each other and ping each other, but no computer can access Computer 1. They can't ping it or browse to it. I am needing some help running this problem down. Any help would be great.

Sometimes we overlook the simplest things. Do you have "File and Printer Sharing" enabled on computer1? Have you shared the files and printers you want to share?

I actually found the cause. McAfee personal firewall was installed, and even though it was disabled...it was still causing problems. I uninstalled it and my networking woes evaporated ( at least in this case ). Thanks for the help.

I have seen software firewalls cause many problems with networks. I finally just removed all of mine and my system is hiding behind the hardware firewall in the router as the only firewall. No problems so far.
