I believe you can turn off Vista's Aero Glass look which most people call Eye Candy. But you should post to: microsoft.public.windows.vista.general Someone should be able to answer your question here, the last version of Vista I tried was still a Beta and things change. I have installed, uninstalled and re-installed the Vista upgrade advisor 5 times now and each time I receive an error message that there was an error in running the upgrade and that I should uninstall and reinstall again. Anyone else found this problem? Same experience here (error during install of upgrade advisor). Thanks David. I have Net.Framework 1.1 on my computer and still have the problem. I am searching for others who might have had a similar problem with the upgrade advisor. So far haven't found anything. Maybe someone else will answer the message here.
