Cari,
I am having the same problem as Stuart.
There is no way to get the dish receiver from going into standby mode. You
have to upgrade to the DVR model of the Dish receiver to keep it from going
into standby mode. Neat eh?
Is there any way to get Media Center to have the IR emitter send a specific
command each time it sends the IR sequence for changing channels? The button
that the Dish receiver uses to bring itself out of hibernation is the
"select" button, so it does nothing if the Dish receiver is already active.
