Security in internet explorer 6 and Outlook Express

I use windows xp professional and I would like to now how which is the best
form to block the access to the Internet through the Internet explores 6, but
being able to use the Outlook Express. I want to work with the Outlook, but I
also want to block the access to the Internet, or any kind of web pages. Do
you think that is enough to disable port 80? Or what is the best thing to do
on protocol TCP/IP?

Thanks

If you have a firewall or internet router device then you may be able to
configure it to block outbound access to port 80 TCP for all computers or
specific ones by IP or mac address. Otherwise a software firewall such as
the free for personal use Zone Alarm could do what you want. For XP Pro you
could also configure an ipsec policy to block outbound access for port 80
TCP but ipsec is a somewhat more advanced top. The link below explains how
to configure ipsec filtering policy if you are interested and if you try it
do NOT delete an ipsec policy that is assigned until you un-assign it
first.. --- Steve
