Elsewhere in this posting I found that someone had said the wireless mouse
stops the screensaver working. I now remove mouse's USB toggle when I leave
the pc and sure enough the screensaver works perfectly. The hoops I've
jumped thru to try and get it to work don't bear thinking about. I had
something called Magentic from Incredimail ( screensaver that thows all your
photos onto the screen as a s/saver, wallpaper too) which used to work fine,
and I kept contacting them, they had me do all sorts of diagnostic tests and
send them back, and they couldn't find the problem. I have e mailed them to
tell them about this wireless mouse thing - especially Microsoft wireless
mouses (mice!?). I did have another brand of wireless mouse and screensaver
worked fine with that. Can't believe that it's something so simple. Maybe
not so easy if you have wireless keyboard too, but sure as hell, that's the
problem. You would think Microsoft would do something about it,
notwithstanding the article that some people are advising to look at - I
haven't looked at it, can't be doing with any more techno-babble - not
terribly techy minded anyway. I do wonder how these people keep their jobs
actually as on another matter entirely, I spent an hour talking to Orange
yesterday to try and find out how to e mail from my mobile phone - they
couldn't help me, but within 10 mins of hanging up, I'd managed to sort it
out myself!!! Technical Support my a**e!!!
Happy surfing
