When Fast Fwd pressed, the system backs up in a recorded program from 10 secs
to as much as several minutes. When press play to stop fast fwd, it also
backs up more than a minute. Stopping after commercials to watch recorded
program is just about impossible.

Any Suggestions?

There is a fix... sort of. Aaron Stebner posted a link that someone else had
discovered on the Logitech site. It worked for me... until I rebooted the
system the next day. So for now... try this and let me know what happens:

1. Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services
2. A window pops up. Find HID INPUT SERVICE and double-click.
3. Select start up type to AUTOMATIC, press APPLY. Then, START the service.
Press OK.

That should work.
My only problem is getting the damn setting to stick even though I'm an
administrator. Guess I'll be buying a Mac next time.
