Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windows>mediacenter (more info?)

This just started hapening only when using Recorded TV with MCE. Several
seconds into watching a recorded program, the video cuts out and a deep blue
MCE screen comes up with "Digital Audio Service". The audio continues to
work, it's just the video cuts out. If I choose another recorded TV program,
same thing happens after 3-5 seconds. The same recorded TV program works
fine using Windows Media Player and DVDs work fine in MCE.

Any thoughts from anyone?

Jason, excuse my ignorance. I am also having the same issue. How do I
determine what TV Tuner I am utilizing?
Thanks

Goto http://www.lumanate.com/aspx/sptoverview.aspx

Select either the Angel PCI dual or Angel PCI single (not sure which one you
have based on your description, but you can find out with the instructions
on the above pages).

Then download the newest driver and you should be set.

Visit the manufacturer's site:-http://www.lumanate.com/aspx/sptangelpci.aspx

and download and install the latest compatible driver.

I am not Jason, but When you get to
http://www.lumanate.com/aspx/sptoverview.aspx

Click on the green bar above Angel PCI single, that will take you to a new
page. Scroll down to the bottom of the page, find Angel LP Single TV Tuner
(PCI, low profile):

Look in the Right most column, there is a 32 bit version and a 64 bit
version. If you are using MCE 2005 you would click on 32 bit version of the
underlined numbers. If you have a 64 bit OS, you would click on the numbers
under 64 bit. Then click Save to save the file to your computer.

I installed the new tuner, but am still having the same problem. Watching
live TV is still ok, watching recorded video prior to the update 2 rollup is
fine, but all new recordings still go blue noting Digital Audio Service error.
Anyother suggestions for me?
Thanks for your help
