Recently the cable company came out to "fix" my internet connection (could
not access Internet). The problem was I had used a high-frequency splitter
to connect my Internet AND TV tuner to the cable/broadband connection. The
guy at the store told me to do this. The cable guy said the splitter is
illegal and it drains the cable connection. So now I cannot connect my TV
tuner.

Even before I had connection problems, my TV tuner would freeze up when
watching Live TV. However, I could successfully record TV shows.

Please let me know if you have experienced either of these problems and if
you know how I can fix these problems.

Thanks

Can anyone get more specific about the type of splitter? Also, can I use just
a typical coax cable? My internet and TV cable both come through the same
connection. Today was the first attempt at using a splitter but ... it
failed.

HELP!
