Post subject: Printer driver - "access denied"?
Using Win XP Pro, installed printer was working fine, changed "print spool" location as a tweak but now printer is not working as before. Uninstalled printer driver and tried to reinstall, but get "access denied"?? I am loged in as administrator. Lost?????

Where did you relocate the spooler to?

Relocated to D:\ and I have system restore turned off.

That is something I do not know how to do. Looking of the internet - talk about setting permissions on folders also. ?? Can you help me out with that?

The defeault NTFS persions should look like this:

When I open C: drive and properties as you have shown there is not a "security tab" the other tabs are there but not security. ??

Figured out the security tab, had simple file share enabled. Checked the permissions and they are as your graphic shows.
