Why do you think you need to hear beeps? When a PC beeps that's
typically the sign of a problem.

If Windows starts you may rest assured your computer has booted
successfully.

Is there a speaker on the motherboard? Is it connected? The issue isn't
related to Windows Xp, if you contact the motherboard manufacturer tech
support, they may have some insight as to the issue.
