Has any one come across this Virus/Adware. Within a few minutes of
each reboot I hear a single squeek from my PC Speaker. It is a high
pitch sound, not like the error beeps emitted by the BIOS. Is this a
know virus/trogran, etc.?
Thank you,
Fred Jacobowitz

Does the PC freeze when this occurs? If yes, then look on the web for 'Audigy
squeal of death" problem. It is a known problem with the Creative Lab's Sound
Blaster Audigy sound card and chipsets (usually on Dell motherboards.)

If not, then you need to check with your motherboard manual soon since this is
usually an 'alarm' which would indicate a hardware failure (usually an
over-heating system!)

This is not from the BIOS. Is it possible to log everthing that
explorer is doing on startup?
Thank you,
