Related problem. I'm getting multiple shortcuts on the desktop and start
menu. Up to 4 and 5 shortcuts. I go thru and delete back to one and when I
restart they start coming back. Config is a 6 PC LAN, no server, with
multiple user, XP Home. Started on one machine, now a second machine is doing
it. Ran multiple virus scans which has not helped. >> Stay informed about: Multiple User Accounts & Desktop Icons |

I have the same problem, but I am not sure I follow the procedure you
mentioned on how to correct this. Can this be explained more thoroughly?
Thanks.
