Hi All
I have a very unusual problem,
my mouse cursor, every now and then, goes up or down the screen,
vertically or horizontally, no matter what I do,
reinstall Win XP & SP 2, and don't install the Microsoft Intellimouse
drivers or not, it still does the same thing, up or down, vertically or
horizontally,
their is defintely no viruses, etc at all, I mean if you format your drive
and reinstall everything anyway, how can you have viruses etc,
on your computer in any case, especially if the AVG Virus Program
says theirs no viruses, always get up dates to ?
Any suggestions, will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

A few things to consider. Wireless mouse receiving random interference?
(remove/relocate interfering transmitter)Mouse properties, Pointer
options has "Enhance pointer precision" Checked?(uncheck it) , optical
mouse sitting on reflective surface or something stuck on the "eye" by
static(change or clean)

If it's an optical, it is going bad.

Replace the mouse with another one, at least to test it. I have seen mice
act like this, and usually they are faulty.

Hi All
I think its got something to do with the scroll wheel,
although I disabled that feature, but it still goes its own way,
I'm going to try my old Basic Microsoft Mouse, for awhile and
see if it does it still, then if it does it again, it could be the Intel
925XCV Mainboard Issue, or Win XP + SP 2.
Although it is 2 years old the mouse that's giving problems,
can't expect it to last forever. Although the basic mouse,
is 6 years old and it never done anything like this.
Thanks
Jack Thomas

I Have the same problem, with the same wireless mice.
I suppose you have to replace the battery of the wheel.
A+
