The most effective work around is to press the windows key.
It releases the mouse to move to any visable screen without calling another
program.
NB I always open a blank internet page in the background, after doingd this,
so that if you close a screen, the control doesn't go back to the Media
Centre.
In my opinion, Microsoft should develop a patch to allow a startup parameter
that disables the full screen mouse lock.
