Hi

I have bought an external Maxtor 250GB. WinXP sees it via USB but not
via FireWire.
Any ideas?

WinXp SP1
Acer TravelMate 630
Maxtor 6L250R0
FireWire 6pin/4pin

Thanks

Did you disconnect the USB cable from the external case before you
connected the Firewire cable? My external case disables the Firewire
ports if a USB cable is connected to the case. Disconnecting the
USB cable at the computer end is not sufficient.
