Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>perform_maintain (more info?)

When I open the Master Volume Control panel, the Master Volume is set at
maximum. When I adjust the volume down, it automatically returns to maximum
volume. This in turn keeps my volume display constantly on my screen.

Can anyone help?

Thank you.
