Post subject: My Device Manager Screen Blank

| When I try to bring up Device Manager it just comes up with a screen
which is blank. Other things don't work also. No sound, does not recognize
Printer or Scanner and no indication of Fire wall active. I presently have
AVG Virus but also had problem with others. What area should I look for
solution or correction?
