MCE TV and FM radio suddenly not working

I have an HP Media Center PC m1070n with the original Conexant 23880 tuner
card which had worked fine for 2 years. Suddenly, overnight, about 2 weeks
ago, I now have only a black screen for Live TV and the FM radio does not
work.

I hooked up the TV cable connection to a TV and it worked fine, so it is not
that. I also get a black screen with no audio when I attempt to view on
InterVideo WinDVD creator; but I DO get TV video, but no audio when
attempting to view in Windows movie maker, so it appears the TV tuner is
functioning but not with Media Center.

I checked device manager and everything seems OK. I attempted to update the
drivers, but no update was available.

I did a System Restore for a month earlier, but that did not solve the
problem. I also contacted HP customer service and they had nothing to
suggest to help.

I checked the Conexant website and could find any updates or downloads for
drivers.

Any suggestions. Thanks in advance for any help given.

Within the past week I have had the exact problem you have described. I
have an HP Media Center m470n desktop with the same Conexant tuner. Sudden
inability to see live TV and, curiously, simultaneous loss of the FM tuner.

Were you ever able to find an adequate solution? Did you find any updated
TV tuner card drivers?
