Messenger Live and IE problems?

Messenger Live loads up fine, I put my email and password in then once i
click on sign in messenger shuts down? i get no error msg's nothing it just
close's and i have to load it up again. I've never had this problem before it
only started yesterday! i can sign in fine to the old msn fine but not live?
i've tried restalling it twice and still have the same problem..

also i've started having problems with my IE since yesterday too..

i can use it for about 15mins then after a awhile it says...

''ipwins.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for
the inconvenience.''

can anyone help me out on how to fix the problem?
