By now you may have more than just Limewire, which is a known conduit for
viruses and spyware.

Removing Limewire is the first step. Limewire is not easy to remove, but
this may work:

1. Open the LimeWire folder.
2. Then open the folder UninstallerData.
3. Double click the incon named Uninstall LimeWire or something alike.
4. Follow the on screen prompt to uninstall the program.

The next step is to completely remove whatever viruses and other malware
have been installed on your computer.

Make sure that you are logged in as administrator or administrator
privlages, otherwise you wont be able to unsinstall software, but
removing limewire should be simple. Navage through your start menu
untill y ou get to the limewire folder.
Click on uninstall and when you get to the uninstal path make sure that
you have the right location selected for limewire, usually "C:\Program
Files\LimeWire\" bacuse in my case my limewire.exe is stored
"C:\Program Files\LimeWire\LimeWire.exe"

Your situation should be similar, if not dont worry im using limewire
pro 4.10.5, but thats the general idear.

If that fails use windows uninstaller, from within the controll pannel
click add remove programs. Same for win 9x I belive.

And about the viruses, this is offten a hot topic between p2p users
saying that limewire gave me a virus, kazza gave me a virus, bit
torrent is bad it gives you spyware and whatever. This is completley
untrue unless you click on some for advertising programs while
installing. You would have piced up a virus from downloading from
another P2P user not from the program. The program is genrally safe
aslong as you scann .exe .scr .msi files before you run them.

Hope this helps, good luck!
Jamie

I have uninstalled limewire, I have also searched all my files and deleted
all that came up. I cannot get limewire off my computer, it keeps popping up
and freezing my screen.
