I have a PC with a Microsoft Intellipoint 5.2 installed on it. I just
installed the softwatre that came with the disk & it works perfectly.
I just bought a Compaq laptop & a Microsoft Intellipoint 4.1 (it was too
good a deal to pass along) I installed the software that came to it & nothing
happens. The pointer doesn't move, it's as if I don't have a mouse attached.
It's just frozen. Should I instead use the 5.2 software? I'd appreciate any
hints. Thanks.

Did you uninstall the original mouse/touchpad driver first?
