Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>video (more info?)

When trying to import my video, I keep gettiing the message, "One or more
codecs required to open this content could not be found". What is a CODEC
and how do I correct this problem? I have gone through the NEW SESSION setup
4 times (this is in WM encoder 9) and I keep getting the same message. Once I
get the audio and the video on the hard drive, I'm sure there will be no
problem getting it on DVD using NERO. But I have to get it on HDD first. I'm
assuming I have to set up something that identifies and accesses my VHS
player as a source devise, but so far I have not been able to do that.
