I'm going insane!!! Does anyone else have the problem of typing on their
notebooks and the cursor all of the sudden bounces to somewhere else?
I've been told that I must be hitting the touchpad (even though I never use
it as I have a wireless mouse) . I swear it happens even when I'm watching
every key stroak & my hand doesn't touch the touchpad.

Is there a way to turn the notebook touchpad mouse off???

Generally, there is an icon in the notification area (system tray) that
enables options regarding the touchpad..

Thanks for the info, are you referring to the "mouse properties" icon because
I did go that where it lists the portable mouse which is enabled & working
fine. I don't see any listing for the touchpad mouse (is that what it's
called?). There is an item "HID-compliant mouse" but when I disable it, the
other mouse that's plugged into the USB port gets disabled too.

Perhaps you should contact the vendor/manufacturer and ask them how to do
it.. on some laptops, I have seen an icon in system tray specifically to
alter the operation of the touchpad..
