I loaded and activated FSX-DE on my computer. When I started the game, it
loaded the scenery files and then displayed a message "Failed to read from
files".
When I click on the "OK" botton, it seems to close the game. When I attempt
to restart the game I get the message that "Microsoft flight simulator is
already running". When I check the Windows Task Manager it does not list the
game as running.
If i restart the computer I end up in the same place. I have uninstalled
and reinstalled the game and end up with the same problem. Any thoughts
would be helpful.
