Post subject: Connection to computer at work using remote desktop
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>work_remotely (more info?)

I'm trying to connect to my computer at work via the web.
I have spent quite sometime looking through all the help stuff but cannot
find how to fix it.
My laptop is useing XP Pro so is my computer at work.
The IT guy at work told me it was all set-up, now he's on vaction.
The process i'm using is:
I open remote desktop connection window.
Then I click on the computer (type in the name of the computer window).
I get browse computer window.
My work network name shows up with a + sign next to it.
I click on it and I get a window opens up saying " The (name of my lan)
domain/workgroup does not contain any terminal servers.
I would be very greatful if anybody has any suggestions that would be able
to help me connect up.
Malcolm
