I tried to copy a CD and the image file jammed up my 4o g harddrive. I've
since cleaned it up, but it is so slow and some of my programs pick and
choose when they will work. Can anyone help me out with this

Make sure that you actually deleted the CD image (empty the Recycle Bin) and
then defragment your hard drive. Go to My Computer, right-click your C: drive
and then click "Tools" and then click "Defragment Now"

Got to

Adam, thanks for the reply. I already did these things. I couldn't find the
image file and don't know if it is gone or not.

For Event 4609, type the following in the Run Dialog box.

%systemroot%\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322\aspnet_regiis.exe /i

This will recreate the ASP.NET Machine Account which you /may/ have deleted
and reconfigure the Framework. Did you delete this account in the past?

Thanks for the help William. I typed that line into the run script and it
won't work saying;
"c:\windows\microsoft.net\framework\v1.1.4322 refers to a location that is
unavailable. It could be on a hard drive on this computer, or on a network.
Check to make sure that the disk is porperly inserted, or that you are
connected to the internet or your netwrok, and then try again. If it still
cannot be located, the information might have been moved to a different
location."
As far as I know, I did not remove it, unless by mistake.

Could you verify if this folder is present?

''C:\windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322"

Can happen because the COM+ Event System service is disabled.

Open Services...
Start | Run | Type: services.msc | Click OK |
Scroll down to and double click COM+ Event System |
Set Startup type to Automatic | Click Apply | Click the
Start button | When started, click OK | Close Services

Hope this helps.
