Change language to English to Microsoft Windows XP Media C..

I have a Toshiba laptop which has Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition
Version 2002 Service Pack 2 installed in it. This OS is in German version.
How do I change it to english version. Can this be done ?. Do i need to buy
some additional software to do this ?

how come we need to pay twice for the same operating system. what do we do
with the old one? is it possible for us to remove the os and reinstall
later? I think it is very unfair or the technology is poor. Either way the
entire os is written in english and it should not be a problem to change from
a foreign language like japanese or chinese to english.

If you wanted English Windows, why would you buy German Windows?

Have you tried changing the "Regional and Language" options to English?

Oh really, not a problem completely rewriting an entire OS in a different
language? Maybe you should volunteer to do it for free then.
