Hi

I have 2 CD/ DVD drives and recently replaced my sound card. The system
sounds
returned but I had problems with playing CDs and DVDs on both drives - no
sound. I followed the troubleshooter and disabled the digital CD audio for
both devices. They now play audio CDs Smile

However, when I try to play DVDs I get the video but not the sound - just a
hiss. This applies to both drives Sad

There is no audio cable linking the drives and sound card - would that make
a difference? Are there any other suggestions, please?

Many thanks in anticipation

You have to connect 1 audio cable from each drive to your sound card.
