Post subject: games not running properly

can anyone help? i am having trouble running games and cretain screensavers
on my pc. some screensavers are running extremely slowly. some games don't
run. i cannot install sims 2. when i try to install sims 2 a message comes up
saying i do not have directx installed, but i do.

If that problem just started happening recently, try a System Restore.

I just bought Fifa 2006 and i have got problems running the game.....

I cannot see the game menus properly, it all becomes white and i can only
see the names no logos..............
this happens also with uEFa champ league 2005.....
I just installed a new copy of Windows XP SP 2....so may be thats the
problem as UEFA was workin properly before..so please can any body help
me..............
do i have to install any library files or anything please somebody help..
Any kind of help is appreciated...
