I can't get the video conversation to work. I start one with my friend (we
both have working webcams w/ mics) and the video will work but I can't hear
him. He's muted, and I can't un-mute him. He can hear me.
We've tried starting conversations w/ webcams only and then trying to add
voice, but then it struggles (tries to connect for a long time) and
eventually fails when we try to add the voice. I don't understand!
Am I missing something? The long method works for when I try to talk to
other people, but for some reason, the video conversation always doesn't.

In control panel i found a setting for record settings: The microphone was
not checked - the line in option was checked. I reversed the check boxes and
all appears ok, will check Messenger tomorrow and see if muted problem
persists.
