The answer for both questions is the same, to modify the local group policy
on the computer.
1. Start | Run | mmc
2. File | Add/Remove Snapin...
3. Add...
4. Group Policy Object Editor
5. Add
6. Finish
7. Close
8. Ok
9. Local Computer Policy | Computer Configuration | Windows Settings |
Security Settings | Local Policies | Security Options | Accounts: Rename
administrator account
10. Local Computer Policy | Computer Configuration | Windows Settings |
Security Settings | Local Policies | Security Options | Interactive logon:
Do not require CTRL+ALT+DEL

I have the similar problem... I tried what you said and when I got to Finish,
it said that access was denied. It also didn't have just "Group Policy"
My room-matewent out of town and let his brother keep the PC..his brother is
very good with computers, where my roommate is not. I was asked to fix some
problems with it because his brother left town (to where?) I was able to get
to the CTRL + ALT + DEL sing in once.. what do I do now. He has it set up to
where Users have Limited Accounts. I can't Add/Remove, run Defrag, ... Nothing

PLEASE HELP!!

Have your roommate take the computer to a local professional. You simply
need to smile and tell him/her that you aren't qualified to fix his
machine. Or wait until the brother is back.

I have the password now, but I have to CTRL + ALT + DEL at Windows start up
screen.... I was able to get there once before I had the pass word, but now I
can't get back. Is there a specific time I to press CTRL + ALT + DEL twice?

I really don't understand your question or what you are trying to do. If
the computer is set up to require users to press Ctrl-Alt-Del to log
on, do so and type in your user name and password. If you don't want to
have the classic logon box, go to the User Accounts applet and enable
the Welcome Screen.
