Post subject: Customized folders don't apply to sub-folders
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>customize (more info?)

I have a folder named 'Pictures'. It has 15 subfolders, each holding pictures and some with more folders of pictures. Now, I want all the pictures under the main 'Pictures' to display as Photo Album (using Views/Customize This Folder) and selecting the option 'Also apply this template to all subfolders.' You would think that this would apply the 'Photo Album' template to all the 15 subfolders under 'Pictures.'

But it doesn't. Has anyone run into this problem? Here's what I've tried so far:

-Restarted
-Toggled settings and came back to the desired setting to see if it would "catch"
-Reinstalled Service Pack 1 for XP
-Looked hard and long at the monitor, willing the computer to fall in line
-Thought about yelling at it to shame it.

Help?
