Hi Guys and Gals,

I bought a 128Mb usb stick to use with my laptop and pc to transfer files
which I'm working on. My laptop has no problem with the stick, it sees it
and saves to it. When I plug the stick into a usb slot on my PC, theres a
tone to say it's found it, but not much else. 'My Computer' crashes when I
look for it, Word and Excel crash. I wondered if there was a problem that my
system sees it as drive E, which is also what it calls my digital camera, so
I tried to use 'Admin Tools' from Control Panel - guess what? - that crashes
too!

I'm using XP 5.1, with Service Pack 2.

Someone please help before I give up and go back to having to use floppy
discs!

Thanks,

Davo

To better help you, we need to see the hardware specification details of the
PC that you are having problems with. Also, it would help if you could
metion the "make/model" of the USB memory stick.

As a general rule, allows make sure you are running the "latest" motherboard
chipset drivers. Also, if you are running a VIA chipset based motherbaord,
you may also need to install the VIA USB filter drivers.
