I'd like to be able to limit my 12 year old daughters use of MSN
messenger after 10pm, she has a PC in her bedroom and I occasionally
have found that she has been on the service way after " lights out ",
I dont mind her using the PC for homework and a little bit of " social
" chat but I'm looking for a way to turn off the internet acces at
10pm.

Its a windows XP pro PC on a home network ( belkin router F5D6230-3)..

Any suggestions gratefully received..

... Tony

By the looks of things your router is capable of this, here is the manule for your router http://web.belkin.com/support/download/files/F5D6230-3-English-manual.pdf , check page 53 onwards. (Do note that windows by it's self isnt capable of this).

The very concept of allowing all the freaks on the internet access to a
computer located in the privacy of a child's room is frightening. All
the porn spam, erectile enhancer spam, "14 year olds" that are actually
twice that age and sometimes even the oposite gender from what they
admit. Makes my skin crawl.

Go to this address and download the manual for this router. Page 53 is a
good start for the information you need.

Hope this is the information you are looking for. Richard
