Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>general (more info?)

Hello Everyone I am trying to do something really simple and I am not sure if
I am forgetting something. I would appreciate any help. I had this working
once, but now can not seem to get it working again.

I have Remote Desktop web connection and through the client working great
internally. I am using windows xp pro sp2. I can even go through the web
connection type ip address:port/tsweb works great and then log in to pc.

However when I unplug from my lan and dial out or from any other internet
pc. I type the ip address:port/tsweb get the login fine. Then I type the
server and then all I get is a white box with a square aroung it like it
seems to be working but nothing appears. Then it says it times out. I opened
port 3389 on the firewall even put my pc out in the dmz only for a minute and
still the same thing. Did SP2 make any changes. I even reinstalled iis under
sp2 but same thing. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Dan
