I am pretty sure that most people who reply to posts in "help"
groups - myself definitely included - do it because of feelings
of inferiority, lack of emotional satisfaction in the 4-D world,
etc. It is a fundamental psychological principle that NOTHING is
done without a reward - whether it comes from the "outside" or
the "inside", and whether it appears to be a reward or the
opposite. Yes, it's complicated.

So, while your sentiments are lovely, you might as well thank
Santa for bringing you a new Hummer this year while you're at
it, and say a prayer for the pilgrims whose descendants
eventually killed off or drove into ruin and alcoholism almost
all the original inhabitants of this great land.

FWIW, I always thank people who have helped me, and not "en
masse" two years later.

I am pretty sure that most people who reply to posts in "help"
groups - myself definitely included - do it because of feelings
of inferiority, lack of emotional satisfaction in the 4-D world,
etc. It is a fundamental psychological principle that NOTHING is
done without a reward - whether it comes from the "outside" or
the "inside", and whether it appears to be a reward or the
opposite. Yes, it's complicated.

So, while your sentiments are lovely, you might as well thank
Santa for bringing you a new Hummer this year while you're at
it, and say a prayer for the pilgrims whose descendants
eventually killed off or drove into ruin and alcoholism almost
all the original inhabitants of this great land.
