Post subject: Cannot see cdrom drive in mycomputer or explorer

Well actually I do see it sometimes. If I go and assign a drive letter, it then shows up in explorer and mycomp. but can't access it. when rebooted it is not there anymore. i removed it from scsi applet and reinstalled. It shows up and reports the model and everything. Bios sees it. try jumpers tried slave off othe controller. what with this?

I had it on the other controller cable when it was slaved
