Top half? Bottom half? Left half? Right half?

Are referring to Windows Explorer? How do other applications windows
(screens) behave? Does your Desktop look OK? Is your screen resolution set
correctly? Is the window correctly sized?

It might be helpful to us if you were to give some more meaningful
information. That way perhaps someone here may be able to help you.

Otherwise 'destinedfor' might refer to the bin (trash can)
