Hello!

First at all I have a problem that my right clicking on some .exe files only
works sluggish and think maybe because of a corrupt file.

Anyway, yesterday I had the problem that my Windows 98 couldn't shutdown
because I got this message:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------
DDE Server Window

This program is not responding. It may be busy, waiting for a response from
you or it may have stopped running

· click Cancel to ignore and return to windows
· to close the program immediately, click End Task.. You will loose any
unsaved information in this program
· to give the programe 20 seconds to finish what it is doing click Wait and
then try to close the program

Wait End Task
Cancel
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
When I hit the "End Task" Button the task didn't end.
And in the title of the dialog it says "DDE Server Window" ?

I thought maybe both problems are because of
a corrupt file or registry setting ,but don't know.

Does anyone please know how to solve this?

thx

I could solve the problem with the .exe files with a .reg file.
The "DDE Server Window" didn't come again yet ,well I can tell
if I get the message again...
