Windows just will not assign an IP address to "Intel(R) Pro/100 VE Network
Connection", I've tried uninstalled the drivers and TCP/IP, Assigning one
myself and Windows update. I'm at the end of my rope. Suggestions?

a common problem with some nic cards is that they can't pickup a dhcp
address, you nee to replace the nic mate.. a new one will cost you less
than $10, and to be safe try and get the same one in a machine that
does work. also first check the cables and that the light flashes on
the back of the card when plugged in.

Well, Considering I'm using the NIC in question for my internet connection,
Which works just fine by the way.. I'd think the cable is in properly. And
I'd replace it if the NIC wasn't permantly attatched to the mobo

Well like i say its a common problem. some nics arent compatible with
others, so yes it may work fine for other uses. your pc has pci slots..
fill one with another nic card.
